Back in 2007 I decided I wanted to draw more so I committed to drawing something, anything each day and then posting it online. In 2009 I left behind my career in design to do illustration full-time, all as a result of this daily drawing project. All that said—boy howdy—are there some clunkers in here. The physical version of this book has long been sold out—and I kind of liked it that way. I guess what I'm trying to say here is... this is a book of bad drawings—but they got me here.
This is the original blurb from the back of the book:
Have you ever done anything 1,000 times? New England illustrator Chris Piascik has, and this book is the proof. Chris has been drawing forever, but about four years ago, he started a project where he’d draw one thing every night Monday through Friday. Soon he started posting these drawings on his website, and soon he had done too many to stop. Even when he really wanted to. Especially when he really wanted to. This book includes the first 1,000 drawings of Chris Piascik’s Daily Drawing project.
