Satan’s Sights

1045 20120222 Satans Sights

I’m going to be honest, Santorum’s jump in the polls is kind of freaking me out. Are people just not aware of how much of a lunatic he is? The whole separation of church and state is completely lost on him. He’s against birth control. Yeah, AGAINST any kind of contraception. He believes that sex is simply for making babies—no wonder he’s so uptight. Here’s how he thinks about contraception, “a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.

This quote, “Satan has his sights on the United States of America!,” came from Santorum during an interview in 2008. It blows my mind that, as a country, we would consider letting someone who has thoughts like this (and says them out loud), run our country.

You can read some more of my thoughts on Santorum here and here and here.

Also, watch this, it’s hilarious.

People Without Brains

Earlier today, Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) posted an article from the Onion on his Facebook page as if it were factual. For those that don’t know, the Onion is a satirical news organization. The article highlighted just about every crazy thing the religious right believes about Planned Parenthood. It’s pretty incredible that Fleming posted such an overtly outlandish piece without any question.

Remember when John Fleming was outraged that he would only have $400k to feed his family each year?

This quote came from the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz.

Shitty Kids

20111227 Shitty Ungrateful Kids

Yesterday my friend Jonathan (who posts a new song everyday) wrote a song about shitty kids complaining about not getting iPhones, iPads, cars, etc. for Christmas. His song was inspired by Jon Hendren retweeting random kids complaining about their Christmas “disasters.” After listening to Jonathan’s song I got sucked into reading these tweets from, presumably, the shittiest kids on earth. Dear Terrible Teenagers, I hate you.
