Joshua LaFayette sent me a pretty amazing package today including his new zine. {other contents included: a t-shirt that he stenciled my Jack White drawing onto / crazy, homophobic, graphic-novelesque religious pamphlets for LOLz / Papermate Flair pens from the 80′s / A very old Playboy with Burt Reynolds on the cover / a copy of his CD / a blank book about the Wit & Wisdom of Sarah Palin} I’m not sure what these contents say about me or him, for that matter. Included was a note that ended with, ‘PS: Did you know that your name can sound like: Crispy Ass Kick?’
I guess that’s kind of true! hahaha
Someone attempted to rob my good friend Josh yesterday. I’m not okay with that. Luckily he wasn’t harmed and they didn’t get anything. I haven’t gotten any details from Josh yet—but I imagine there were some superhero-like maneuvers.
Josh—I think the Northeast is calling for your return (I’m not blaming this incident on the fact that he lives in Alabama).

My good friend, Josh LaFayette, just had a solo show opening at Lyons Share Gallery in Fairhope, AL. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it down to ‘Bama. It looks like the show turned out great though! Congrats Josh!
