Mostly Red Stuff

1762-20141121-MostlyRedStuff

I recently learned about a new service called Patreon. It lets “fans” support their favorite creators by becoming patrons. Unlike other fundraising services, which raise for a single big event, Patreon is for creators who create a stream of smaller works. As someone who has been posting a new daily drawing for the past seven years, this seems perfect for me. Over the years my drawings have evolved quite a bit, from a quick sketch to a complete illustration as they are now. I spend quite a bit of time each day doing these, and I will continue to do it because I enjoy doing it. If you enjoy seeing these drawings each day consider supporting me with a small amount of money through Patreon. I have some cool stuff available for different patron levels. {Chris Piascik on Patreon}

Happy New Year everybody! Thank you all for following along as I’ve been posting these daily drawings—it’s been 6 years now. Crazy. I’ve decided to do another zine subscription this year, if you are interested see below!

Get a new zine mailed to you 8 times a year. Each zine will be packed full of weird drawings by me! Subscriptions will remain available throughout the year—you’ll just get all the previous zines at once. 2 zines will be full color and professionally printed. The other 6 will be the same DIY, punk-rock-fun, that you’d expect!

A bonus random print/drawing will be added with the first zine!

Who is this guy?

After starting his career as a graphic designer at award-winning studios in New England, Chris accidentally became an illustrator. He’s pretty happy about that. This strange transformation was a result of his daily drawing project that he started in late 2007, in fact he’s still posting a new drawing every day.  Chris holds degrees in Visual Communication Design and Art History from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford, where he is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Illustration. He has been the recipient of Gold Awards, Silver Awards, Excellence Awards, Judge’s Awards and the Spirit of Creativity Award from the Connecticut Art Director’s Club as well as BoNE awards from the AIGA and a Silver Award from Gaphis. In addition his work has been published in numerous books and publications including Print Magazine and Communication Arts. His client list includes; Converse, Nike, Chronicle Publishing, Boston Magazine, McDonalds, Scholastic, Harvard Business School Publishing, Warner Music Group, Republic Records.
