Tonight I saw Al Gore speak in Boston. While I was outside the theater waiting to go inside, I saw a man and his son holding up a large sign that stated, global warming is a hoax..blah,blah, etc. While I waited I couldn’t help but think about how strongly this man felt that he needed to make an enormous sign and drag his (clearly bored and confused) son out to help him. As you may have guessed, I agree with scientists, climate change is real and we need to make some changes quickly. These changes would involve lowering our consumption of oil and using cleaner energy sources. So, I ask, what do you stand to gain from denying the existence of global warming, a dirtier planet?
