Someone had posted a link to the video of me drawing a Halloween piece and this phrase accompanied it, “I was just blown away to see it referred to as art.” The funny thing is that they also said how much they liked the video. If it’s not art what is it? This kind of thing is interesting to me. My dad can’t understand that my paintings are actually “paintings,” because to him it’s just “a bunch of cartoons.” He liked it better when I painted apples and oranges early on in art school.
