I recently designed another poster for Theaterworks in Hartford. This new one is for the American Regional theater premier of The Mother Fucker with the Hat.

Exciting, incisive, cruel and very, very funny… a hip, harsh romance about people grasping for confirmation of their existence … always looking for a fix whether it’s drugs, alcohol, sex, love, or health food.

In addition to the lettering for his upcoming album, ‘How Do You Do,’ I also designed some t-shirts for Mayer Hawthorne. At the moment he’s on tour with Chromeo—go check him out and grab one of these shirts!

I recently did some work for Mayer Hawthorne, including the title lettering for his new album, “How Do You Do.” On top of being a really nice guy—his music is great. Check back soon to see some of the other things I designed for him.

I recently worked on a poster for The Understudy which will be showing at Theaterworks in Hartford next month. Throughout the month I will be showing work in the Gallery of American Art which is located in the Theaterworks building. More info to follow soon!

This year I have had the honor of working on the Connecticut Art Directors Club annual award show collateral. Much of it is still in progress but I wanted to share the Call for Entries that I created. Entries must be submitted by April 30th—so get on it! I know I’ll be submitting.

It’s taken a little while, but the third edition of my Typostruction zine series is finally here. This zine features over 25 of my hand-lettered, typographic compositions covering a wide array of topics. It is available now via Print Brigade.

I like to draw type and hand letter. I once jokingly referred to it as “Typostruction,” typography + destruction. I think the name is fitting.

I just received my advance copy of the I Love My Bike book that I designed for Chronicle over the summer. Seeing a finished and produced piece is always exciting—especially when that piece is almost 200 pages! I’ll have some better photographs taken soon—but in the meantime here is a sneak peak (including a process photo).

I created custom lettering treatments for everyone that was featured in the book. I just discovered this photo I took during the process (with a typo and all!).

I also used the lettering treatments to make a pattern for the book’s endsheets.

I know I already posted about the new Print Brigade line—BUT I’m especially excited about this Biggie shirt. I’ve been wanting to do a shirt with this quote for a long time. I’ve done 2 different prints of it in the past but they never felt exactly right. I tried to loosely model this one after old political posters with a twist. I’m happy with the results.
