Everyone is a Cycle Kid Fundraiser

Recently Cycle Kids (a Cambridge-based non-profit that focuses on integrating bicycling programs into elementary schools and community centers in order to lower rates of childhood obesity, diabetes and other related illnesses) asked me to come to their Everyone is a Cycle Kid Fundraiser and create live art. Believing in their cause, I was happy to volunteer my time. When people arrived at the event they were given a card with the question, “Do you remember your first bike?” The guests would fill out their cards and give them to me. Throughout the night I created art based on their answers. I managed to create 5 pieces that were then auctioned off at the end of the night. I’m happy to say I was able to raise over $2000 for their cause—not bad for a couple hours!

The Say Something Poster Project

Say Something Poster Project

This past few months I have had the privilege to design some collateral for the Say Something Poster Project. The Say Something Poster Project is a poster design competition and gallery show created to give designers the opportunity to use poster design to say something that will inspire, motivate or educate teenage kids. Winning posters will be donated to a non-profit organization and permanently installed in their facility. This year, that non-profit will be The Home for Little Wanderers. Submissions are now being accepted—so what are you waiting for? Go design and submit one!

Design is Love posters

I recently designed a poster for the Design is Love, Design Fund. This set of posters (with a screenprinted box) is only $40!

Love & Creativity represents the first-ever Design Fund offering. For this project, we asked Design is Love members to share their take on creativity. Eight members submitted original artwork. To honor their engagement, we decided to print them all.

In this limited edition box-set you’ll receive all eight offset-printed posters, including work by Vaughn Fender, Ryan Frease, Lorena Iturrino, Josh Lafayette, Tomasz Kazmierczak, Justin Muir, Chris Piascik and Claudia Smith. Oh yeah, your poster set comes packaged in a custom, screen-printed box created by the Design is Love crew, complete with a certificate of authenticity.

Support creativity and Design is Love by making a purchase today. Participation is caring.

* All proceeds from Design is Love store products fund future community projects and development of our online community.
