My second bike was my first legit BMX bike. I actually bought it from a neighbor who had “outgrown bikes.” I can’t imagine what he thought was better than bikes! As a youngster the $100 he wanted seemed like a small fortune. Luckily for me this was before Craigslist and ebay—so I had some time. I pleaded with relatives to give me money for my birthday and mowed some lawns in the neighborhood. Soon enough the cherry red General Hustler was mine!
